Job Title: Production engineer Department: Manufacturing/Production. Job Description Oversee daily operations of the machine tool room, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules. Expertise in operating and Managing CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding, EDM), conventional machines, and tooling equipment. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and servicing of all machinery to minimize downtime. Supervise machining of high-precision components for drone assemblies (e.g., motor mounts, structural frames, landing gear). Manage tool inventory, cutting tools, and raw materials to ensure optimal stock levels. Ensure compliance with aerospace/drone industry regulations (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Certifications in CNC programming, tool & die making, or precision machining are a plus. Experience: 3+ years of experience managing a machine tool room in aerospace, drone manufacturing, or precision engineering . Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAD/CAM software – Mastercam, NX Cam) . Hands-on expertise with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM . Knowledge of composite machining (for drone components) is advantageous. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of metrology tools (CMM, micrometers, profilometers) . Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen for process improvement. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T standards .
