Department/Unit: Maintenance Reporting To: Head of Maintenance Direct Reports: None Job Purpose/Summary: To plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities (preventive, predictive, corrective) across the plant, optimizing resource utilization, minimizing downtime, and ensuring timely execution of work orders to support production targets. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Work Order Management: Receive, review, and validate maintenance work requests/orders. Prioritize jobs based on criticality and impact on production. Planning: Develop detailed job plans including scope of work, required resources (manpower, tools, materials), estimated time, and safety precautions for all maintenance tasks. Scheduling: Create daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules, coordinating with operations for equipment availability and shutdowns. Resource Coordination: Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure availability of skilled personnel. Liaise with stores for spare parts and external vendors for specialized services. CMMS Utilization: Maximize the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, scheduling, history recording, and reporting. Spare Parts Management: Work closely with the stores team to ensure critical spare parts are available and accounted for before scheduling work. Cost Estimation: Provide cost estimates for planned maintenance jobs. Backlog Management: Manage and reduce maintenance backlog effectively. Shutdown Planning: Play a key role in planning and coordinating major plant shutdowns/turnarounds. Performance Monitoring: Track and report on planning and scheduling KPIs (e.g., schedule compliance, planned vs. unplanned work). Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Maintenance Schedule Compliance (%) Planned Work vs. Unplanned Work Ratio Maintenance Backlog (reducing trend) CMMS Data Accuracy Lead Time for Spares/Services Required Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Relevant certifications in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling (e.g., CMRP, CPPM) are highly desirable. Required Experience: 5-8 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling roles within a heavy process industry. Strong proficiency in CMMS/EAM software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Oracle EAM). Required Skills: Excellent planning, organizational , and time management skills. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in CMMS software . Good understanding of maintenance processes and equipment. Effective communication and coordination skills. Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Key Responsibilities & Duties: Reliability Analysis: Conduct reliability assessments (e.g., FMEA, RCM, Weibull analysis) to identify critical assets and potential failure modes. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead or participate in RCA for recurring equipment failures, process upsets, and major incidents, identifying underlying causes and recommending sustainable solutions. Predictive Maintenance (PdM): Implement and optimize PdM technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic testing) and interpret data to predict failures. Maintenance Strategy Optimization: Recommend adjustments to PM schedules, inspection frequencies, and maintenance tasks based on reliability data and analysis. Asset Performance Monitoring: Monitor asset performance data (e.g., OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and trend analysis to identify deterioration and opportunities for improvement. Spare Parts Optimization: Work with planning and stores to optimize critical spare parts inventory based on failure rates and lead times. Life Cycle Costing: Conduct life cycle cost analysis for new equipment procurement and major overhauls. Bad Actor Elimination: Identify and prioritize "bad actor" equipment, developing strategies for their elimination or improvement. Capital Project Support: Provide reliability engineering input during the design, selection, and commissioning of new equipment and plant modifications. Standards & Best Practices: Develop and implement engineering standards, best practices, and procedures for reliability improvement. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) Improvement Unplanned Downtime Reduction (%) Maintenance Cost Reduction (due to reliability improvements) Completion of RCA Recommendations Predictive Maintenance Savings Reliability Improvement Projects Completed Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Certification in Reliability Engineering (e.g., CMRP, CRE) is highly preferred. Required Experience: 8-12 years of experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar role in a heavy process industry. Proven experience in applying reliability tools and methodologies (FMEA, RCM, RCA). Hands-on experience with various PdM technologies. Required Skills: Strong analytical skills, statistical analysis , and data interpretation. Proficiency in CMMS and reliability software. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
