The ideal candidate for the Mainframe CICS Admin role should possess the following experience and qualifications: Experience in the upgrade/installation of CICS Transaction Servers, zCEE, CICS PA, and other vendor products (CAFC), including maintenance through periodic application of FIX packs. Proficiency in installation and tuning processes and procedures for CICS webservices, CICSplex System manager, JVM Servers, and Angels stated tasks to ensure all CICS services and infrastructures meet operational targets. Self-sufficiency to perform most tasks independently without assistance. Good understanding of monitoring and administrative tools such as Omegamon, Sysview, or their equivalents for support purposes. Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and provide administrative solutions as needed. Working knowledge of System z communications and Systems Network Architecture (SNA) concepts. Capability to interpret and utilize assembler output listings effectively. Monitoring of the ticketing tool to resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs. Willingness to adapt to weekend support on a rotational basis for planned changes and client system support 24/7. Requirements for success in this role include: Strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and responsibility in troubleshooting, researching, and resolving application issues. Utilization of system diagnostic tools like CA SYSVIEW/Omegamon/Mainview, Fault Analyzer, and CICS PA for problem resolution, as well as hands-on experience in CICS SSL Setup Troubleshooting. Understanding of CICS Application Architecture (CMAS/MRO and NON MRO), design, and maintenance for analyzing architecture and security issues, and performing advanced troubleshooting for CICS connections from CICS to Off-host DataPower, WAS, JAVA. Proficiency in z/OS Job Control Language (JCL). Experience with tools such as Service Now for Incident/Change Management and BMC Remedy On-Demand Tool. The Mainframe CICS Admin should also ensure documentation of all Disaster Recovery (DR) related operational processes and procedures.,
