As a lead DevOps engineer, you will drive continuous service reliability improvement across HERE engineering community. In addition, you will: Identify areas for optimization and automation, focused on service reliability, stability, and throughput, implementing good DevOps practices and tools. Work closely with development and operations teams, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills, being able to bridge the gap between different teams and align them towards common goals, provide technical leadership and guidance on DevOps reliability practices and principles. Interact with different sets of stakeholders, like product managers/owners, developers, and system engineers, the ability to understand their needs and manage expectations is essential. Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform and Ansible Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads Experience with Java and/or Python and Go languages for script development and automations Deep understanding of the GNU/Linux operating system TCP/IP, Ethernet networks, physical and logical network design, implementation and operation Understanding of filesystem operation (e.g. ext3, xfs) and LVM Knowledge of best practices in a micro-service architecture in an always-up, always-available service Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Process-oriented with great documentation skills Knoweldge of Seucrity best-practices in a containerized or cloud-based Architecture Familiarity with event drive Architecture and related concepts

Implement and refine observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Datadog. Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes. Work with engineering teams to improve system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (FinOps). Enhance security and compliance by implementing best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption). Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident resolution strategies Qualifications 12+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with AWS in large-scale production environments. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK). Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker). Solid experience with observability & monitoring ( Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization (Docker). Understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Have Experience with FinOps and cost optimization on AWS. Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP). Previous experience working with high-traffic applications or fintech systems.
