Policy Development & Review: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of internal HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Audit & Risk Management: Conduct regular audits of HR records and processes to identify potential compliance risks. Develop corrective action plans when necessary. Training & Awareness: Provide compliance-related training to HR staff and other departments as required. Ensure employees are aware of their rights, responsibilities, and the company’s compliance policies. Compliance Reporting: Prepare reports on compliance issues and present findings to senior management. Ensure accurate and timely filing of necessary compliance documentation. Employee Data Privacy & Protection: Ensure that employee data is handled in accordance with relevant privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), and that the company’s data protection policies are followed. External Collaboration: Liaise with legal counsel, external auditors, regulatory agencies, and third-party vendors to resolve compliance-related issues. Investigations & Issue Resolution: Investigate any suspected compliance violations or grievances, working with legal teams to resolve issues. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field. A certification in compliance or HR (such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or a similar credential) is preferred. Experience: 2+ years of experience in HR compliance or a similar role, preferably within an HR solutions company, staffing agency, or corporate HR department. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, health and safety standards, and employee benefits. Familiarity with HR technology systems and data privacy regulations. Skills: Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
