As a software engineer at Arcadis, you will be an integral part of a global team dedicated to delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. As a member of our team, you will be expected to possess excellent design and coding skills while owning the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a DevOps environment. Collaboration is key in our Agile teams, and you should be prepared to take on new challenges while contributing to the development of cutting-edge software solutions. Your responsibilities will include staying up-to-date with current trends, experimenting with new technologies, and collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions. You will play a vital role in fostering innovation, encouraging teamwork, and maintaining a commitment to our values and culture. Additionally, you will be involved in mentoring junior developers, leading code reviews, and overseeing project planning and delivery milestones. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant experience in web development tools and technologies. Experience in desktop and mobile applications, familiarity with programming principles, and knowledge of database development are essential. Proficiency in front-end and back-end languages, as well as the ability to build resilient Microservices and APIs, will be advantageous. Basic qualifications for this position include a minimum of 6 years of programming experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science or its equivalent. Preferred qualifications include 8 years of experience in product development, a Master's degree in Computer Science, and expertise in developing RESTful APIs and design patterns.
