Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient ETL pipelines using AWS serverless technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience working with AWS Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and RDS , with a focus on building robust data workflows and secure APIs. This is a hands-on role requiring a solid understanding of data ingestion, orchestration, and API authentication mechanisms. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and manage ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and related AWS services. Develop serverless data workflows integrating AWS Lambda , API Gateway , S3 , and RDS . Build and maintain job orchestration using tools like Step Functions and CloudWatch Events . Collaborate with backend engineering teams to integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources. Optimize Glue job performance and troubleshoot data flow issues. Implement best practices for a secure, scalable, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure. Ensure API authentication and secure data access via IAM, Lambda Authorizers, and JWT/OIDC standards. Must-Have Skills: Proven hands-on experience with AWS Glue , Lambda , API Gateway , S3 , and RDS . Solid understanding of ETL pipeline development , data transformation , and workflow orchestration . Familiarity with event-driven architecture and integration patterns . Strong experience with IAM , CloudWatch , Step Functions , and resource monitoring. Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing data pipeline issues and optimizing performance. Authentication & Security Expertise: Implementation of authentication for API Gateway and Lambda integrations. Deep understanding of: IAM-based authentication using AWS Signature V4 for secure service-to-service communication. Lambda Authorizer (Custom Authorizer) for custom logic-based access control.
