As a Solution Architect in Solution Engineering at Western Union, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing integrations and optimization solutions within a large-scale enterprise environment. Your responsibilities will involve streamlining workflows, driving automation, and fostering innovation and efficiency. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the development and deployment processes through automation and orchestration. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to make end-to-end architecture design decisions. - Simplifying and consolidating platforms to create flexible, scalable, and compliant solutions. - Assisting in developing solutions and implementing cloud-native technologies that align with technical, security, and business requirements. - Translating project-based requirements into technical approaches following organizational standards and guidelines. - Researching and evaluating alternative cloud solutions and engaging with cross-teams for analysis. - Demonstrating expertise in Cloud Platforms, Automation, Orchestration Strategies, and Cloud Optimization. - Evaluating technologies, conducting proof of concepts, and defining recommended solutions. - Identifying opportunities for automation and remediation to enhance operational stability. - Designing integration scenarios for end-to-end system integration and maintaining system architecture strategy and roadmaps. - Contributing to the creation of cohesive and reusable engineering software solutions. To qualify for this role, you should possess: - 7+ years of software development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST API. - Proficiency in Java, Springboot, Python, and understanding of the software development life cycle. - Hands-on experience in system design, observability, operational stability, and resiliency. - Familiarity with Chaos Engineering, DevOps practices, and modern CICD tools. - Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Self-motivation, ability to multitask, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.
