We are currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Manager/Data Science Engineer to join the Membership, Digital Analytics & Data Science pillar of the Enterprise Analytics Team. As a Data Science Engineer, you will work under the guidance of an offshore Data Science Engineering Manager to maintain, optimize, and develop internal data science solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering, machine learning operations (MLOps), and DevOps practices, along with proficiency in cloud-based architectures (specifically AWS), ETL pipeline management, model deployment, and CI/CD automation. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the offshore Data Science Engineering Manager using agile project management methods. - Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using PySpark and other tools within the AWS technology stack. - Identify and implement improvements in models, DNA & ETL code pipelines. - Execute DevOps practices, including CI/CD and version control using Git. - Provide recommendations for code optimization considering speed, resource utilization, and efficiency. - Work on feature development branches, review pull requests using Bitbucket, and deploy models through cloud-based strategies. - Utilize AWS services like SageMaker, EC2, S3, and Lambda for data engineering and model deployment. - Lead the execution of campaigns, ensuring support throughout the campaign lifecycle, from design to measurement and optimization. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications / Skills: - BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications / Skills: - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL, or Java. - Experience with machine learning models for retail use cases. - Strong skills in data mining analysis and machine learning algorithm implementation. - Familiarity with cluster-computing frameworks like Spark and Hadoop. - Knowledge of AWS services for data pipelines and model deployment. - Experience in DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation tools. - Ability to extract insights from complex datasets using data mining and statistics.
