Role & responsibilities Cloud Strategy & Vision: Lead the development and execution of the companys cloud strategy. Oversee the adoption of cloud solutions aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security. Leadership & Team Management: Manage and mentor the cloud services team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Build high-performing teams capable of driving cloud transformation initiatives. Cloud Architecture & Governance: Define and implement cloud architecture standards and best practices. Ensure strong governance around cloud resources, security, compliance, and risk management. Collaboration with Executive Leadership: Work closely with the CXO and other senior leaders to set cloud-related goals and objectives that align with business strategies. Provide strategic advice on cloud adoption and optimization to enhance organizational performance. Cloud Transformation & Innovation: Drive the adoption of emerging cloud technologies, including hybrid, multi-cloud, AI/ML, and containerization, to support business growth and efficiency. Ensure seamless integration with legacy systems. Budget & Cost Management: Oversee the cloud budget and ensure cost efficiency in cloud spending. Monitor cloud service usage, identify optimization opportunities, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness. Vendor & Partner Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key cloud service providers, ensuring SLAs are met and strategic partnerships are fostered for long-term success. Security & Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure with industry regulations and standards. Lead cloud security initiatives, ensuring robust data protection and risk mitigation. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the cloud team. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud trends, tools, and technologies and bring innovative solutions to the table. Preferred candidate profile Candidate must have a total of 20+ years of experience out of 10+years of experience in cloud technology and architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (GM/SR.GM/DIRECTOR/AVP/VP). Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud transformation projects. Strong experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and cloud-native technologies (containers, Kubernetes, serverless). Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading organizational change in a cloud-first environment. Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and governance. Expertise in cloud security, risk management, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). Solid understanding of cloud pricing models, cost management, and optimization. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, and drive consensus on strategic cloud initiatives. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is a plus.
