Description
As a Sr. Cloud Operator and Platform Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage and support the delivery of EDAA BI & Analytics operations services for Cloud platforms and applications such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. You will oversee the delivery and management of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS components for cloud projects and platforms. Providing customer support and guidance on cloud infrastructure best practices and architecture will be a crucial aspect of your role. Additionally, you will design and manage secure, compliant, and scalable cloud solutions. Monitoring cloud subscriptions and accounts, as well as supervising incident and problem management processes, will also fall under your purview. Key Responsibilities: - Delivery and management of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS components for cloud projects and platforms - Providing customer support and guidance through cloud infrastructure best practices and architecture - Designing and managing secure, compliant, and scalable cloud solutions - Monitoring and managing alerts within cloud subscriptions and accounts - Supervising incident and problem management, including communication and escalations with vendors - Supporting and managing cloud and non-cloud database technologies - Managing technical governance of the platform - Creating and maintaining general documentations and guidelines of cloud platforms and projects - Managing the availability of production instances of cloud services In terms of Business Accountabilities, you will: - Assist in coordinating a team of Cloud Platform engineers providing technical support to stakeholders and end-users - Monitor and control allocated human and material resources for project work - Supervise the drafting of key policy documents to ensure compliance with organizational rules - Contribute to the development of processes and lead the implementation of systems and process improvements - Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new Cloud IT solutions - Ensure internal partners and vendors meet defined policies and SLAs - Create DR&BC plans in relevant areas of IT - Ensure Cloud platforms are fully compliant with security and audit standards - Assist with core financial processes related to Cloud platform management - Define reporting KPIs and ensure thresholds are continuously met and improved - Ensure documentation of the Cloud platform is completed, updated, and reviewed regularly Your technical knowledge should include expertise in Microsoft Azure Technologies, AWS technologies, SQL Server DB technology, Microsoft Power BI Technology, ETL Tools, infrastructure design, Cloud computing design, Project Management, Relational Databases, Infrastructure Change analysis impact, Reduction of DC footprint, Software Integration Design, System design analysis, OS (UNIX, Windows, and Linux), and Database engines like Oracle, MS-SQL, among others.,
