As a Data Engineer - MDM at nVent, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica's suite of products. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and Digital teams to implement robust master data governance frameworks that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the enterprise. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining Informatica MDM solutions that align with business requirements and data governance policies. Additionally, you will configure and customize Informatica MDM hubs, develop data models, matching rules, survivorship rules, and validation processes within the Informatica MDM platform, and create and optimize data integration workflows for loading, cleansing, profiling, enriching, and synchronizing master data. You will be expected to implement data quality rules and data standardization processes, design and develop batch and real-time interfaces between MDM and source/target systems, troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and MDM issues to ensure data integrity and performance, and collaborate with data architects to design and implement data governance frameworks. Furthermore, you will work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications, document technical designs, processes, and procedures, create and maintain technical documentation for MDM implementations, perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and stay current with the latest developments in Informatica products and MDM technologies. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst. Specifically, you should have 5+ years of experience in data management with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Informatica MDM architecture and components, proficiency in Informatica MDM configuration, experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud for data integration with MDM, knowledge of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Address Doctor, strong SQL skills, experience with cloud and relational databases, expertise in web services and API integration, understanding of data modeling concepts, knowledge of XML, XSLT, and Java/JavaScript for MDM customization, experience with agile development methodologies, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication skills.
