As an Associate Developer, Applications Support at TransUnion, you will be part of a dynamic team working on various technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include working within a scrum team alongside a technical lead, product owner, scrum master, and other developers. You will be assigned tasks by the scrum master, maintain them on the Kanban board, report on task progress, and seek support when needed to understand requirements and overcome challenges. Your role will involve analyzing, developing, testing, debugging, maintaining, modifying, and deploying complex software programs with limited direction. To be successful in this role, you should have experience and expertise in technologies such as .Net Framework 3.5 and above, C#, MVC 3 and above, Microsoft SQL Server, WCF, Restful Services, design patterns, and best practices. Knowledge of Angular, JQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap, web services, APIs, CI/CD, and mobile applications would be beneficial. Experience in Agile methodologies and modern software development practices is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification is necessary, along with at least 2-3 years of experience in software development/support within the Financial Services industry. You should have strong abilities to design and develop complete systems that integrate with TransUnion databases and services. Knowledge of secure software development and incident management practices is essential, as well as very good communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, familiarity with cloud principles and practices, specifically AWS, is highly beneficial. You will be responsible for conveying problems, solutions, updates, and project status to peers, customers, and management. Developing and maintaining program, systems, and user documentation, preparing time estimates for tasks, and attending post-implementation reviews are also part of your responsibilities. This is a hybrid position that involves performing job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at a TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.
