Job Title: Cloud Operations Specialist Location:Pune, India Job Type:Full-Time Position Summary The Cloud Operations Specialist ensures stability, security, and high availability of Assents production systems. Working under SaaS Product Infrastructure leadership, this role collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, IT, and Corporate Security to maintain system uptime and usability while supporting ongoing security initiatives. Key Requirements & Responsibilities AWS systems management and configuration: Governance & identity management: » AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, AWS IAM Identity Center, IAM Security & auditing: » AWS Config, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Key Management Service (KMS) Automation & scripting: » Lambda (for automation), Configuration Management with Ansible/Terraform AWS services & infrastructure: Compute & containers: » EC2, ECS (Fargate) Databases & messaging: » RDS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.), AmazonMQ Networking & CDN: » API Gateway, CloudFront, Route53 Messaging & notifications: » SQS, SNS, SES Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration Manage and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Git Workflows, and Git Pipelines Monitoring & incident response: Proactively monitor infrastructure and applications using observability tools May participate in on-call rotations to ensure timely resolution of incidents Troubleshoot and mitigate cloud infrastructure and application issues Implement best practices for logging, alerting, and automated remediation Review and recommend AWS services and offerings to replace existing infrastructure Install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server instances Design, build, and maintain highly available systems for the Assent SaaS product, focusing on serverless resources when applicable Participate in the management and monitoring of all cloud infrastructure, including weekend deployments of production, OS updates as needed, and backup routines Document systems infrastructure and follow processes and procedures Contribute to the design, maintenance and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans Act as a liaison with various departments and teams Help lead projects and act as a contributor to Infrastructure and joint Infrastructure projects Support security audits of Assent platforms Be familiar with corporate security policies and follow the guidance set out by processes and procedures of Assent. It will also be valuable to Assent if you have the following qualifications: University degree or college diploma preferred, or equivalent experience 3+ years of relevant experience in a Product Systems Administration, Cloud Operations, or DevOps role AWS Certification above Cloud Practitioner Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and Ansible Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Git Workflows, and Git Pipelines Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically ECS and Fargate Hands-on experience with self-hosted ElasticSearch for managing search and logging infrastructure Proficiency in Ansible Tower/Semaphore for configuration management and automation Experienced in Windows Server and Linux administration Experience in proactive monitoring and remote management of IT systems, leveraging observability and automation tools to ensure performance, availability, and reliability Proven knowledge and application of current protocols and standards Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts and data processing concepts Experience with scripting languages Adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments with strong problem-solving skills Self-motivated, passionate about technology, and calm under pressure with strong judgment and decision-making Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders and anticipating others' needs Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global team, continuously seeking to improve systems and processes Detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in time management, with a commitment to lifelong learning and applying knowledge to solve business challenges Ability and willingness to work off-hour shifts with a flexible schedule; this may include shift work and on-call rotation Preferred experience: NewRelic, SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer (DPA), PagerDuty, Auth0 Identity Provider ng and candidate communication.
