Cloud Network Security Engineers

As a candidate, you should have a comprehensive understanding of the following technical skillsets: - **BGP**: You should be able to configure and troubleshoot BGP in large global environments. - **Routing concepts**: You must have knowledge of Inter-VR routing, policy-based routing, routing protocols, route filtering, path selection, access-lists, etc. - **Switching concepts**: Familiarity with VLANs, Layer 2, Mac-forwarding, VLAN trunking, VRRP, Gratuitous ARP is essential. - **Firewall/security concepts**: Understanding of L2-L7, various versions of NAT, failover scenarios, zonal concepts, IPSec, L7 encryption concepts, URL filtering, DNS, security profiles and rules, proxying is required. - **Load Balancing concepts**: You should comprehend Cloud LB and conventional LB and their differences in functionality. - **Public Cloud platforms**: Preferably experience with GCP; particularly in Networking, Firewalling, IAM, and how they relate to Cloud Native services (PSA, Cloud SQL, GCVE, Cloud Interconnects, BMS, FileStore, Netapp, etc). - **Infrastructure as Code (IAC)**: Ability to provision resources using IAC and customize and optimize the codebase to simplify deliveries. - **Linux administration**: Proficiency in using Linux to bridge technical gaps in Windows and troubleshoot network connectivity. - **APIs**: Understanding of APIs to expedite data collection and configuration to eliminate human error. - **DevOps**: Knowledge of how DevOps can improve delivery and operation.
