Cloud Engineer - CloudOps

As a Cloud Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining the monitoring infrastructure, monitoring system and application health, detecting and responding to incidents, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with other teams for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and maintain the monitoring infrastructure, including selecting and configuring monitoring tools, agents, and sensors. - Monitor the health, performance, and availability of systems, networks, applications, and services. - Detect and analyze incidents based on monitoring data and alerts, investigate root causes, and respond promptly. - Configure alerting rules and thresholds, ensure timely escalation of critical incidents, and collaborate with relevant teams. - Analyze performance metrics, identify areas for optimization, and collaborate with other teams to implement improvements. - Monitor resource usage trends, forecast capacity requirements, and collaborate with capacity planning teams. - Maintain accurate documentation, generate reports on system performance and incidents, and continuously improve monitoring processes. - Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams, communicate insights, and share recommendations with stakeholders. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, BE, B.Tech, or equivalent experience. - 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. - Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform (IaC). - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Additional Details: - Excellent communication skills are essential for this role. - Experience and good knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. - Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment is mandatory for this position.
