Cloud Engineer - AWS Cloud App Migration Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer - AWS Cloud App Migration Specialist to join our team. This role involves migrating on-premises applications to AWS , optimizing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring seamless transitions across various AWS services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EC2 , EKS , S3 , EBS , and EFS , and a strong understanding of the Lift and Shift migration process. The candidate will lead the AWS migration efforts for monolithic and microservices applications, leveraging AWS migration tools and automation to simplify and accelerate the process. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve migration challenges and ensure application reliability in the cloud. Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute AWS migrations of on-prem applications using AWS MGN (Migration Hub Network) . Implement Lift and Shift migrations and utilize the 7Rs strategy (Rehost, Replatform, Repurchase, Refactor, Retire, Retain, and Relocate). Strong hands-on experience with AWS EC2, ASG, EBS, EFS, and ALB to ensure proper application performance and scalability. Design and implement automated application migrations , leveraging best practices and cloud migration tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot migration issues and provide effective solutions. Work on monolithic and microservices web applications migration strategies, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance post-migration. Optimize cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements to ensure cost-effective and high-performing AWS environments. Qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services , particularly EC2, EKS, S3, EBS, and EFS . Strong knowledge of AWS migration tools (e.g., AWS MGN ) and techniques for cloud application migration. Proficiency in Terraform for cloud infrastructure automation and management. Deep understanding of AWS cloud services , architecture, and best practices for application migrations. AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer ) and Terraform certification are preferred. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve migration challenges quickly and efficiently. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working with multiple teams to drive migration success.
