As a Lead Consultant specializing in AWS Rehost Migration, you will be responsible for leveraging your 8+ years of technical expertise to facilitate the seamless transition of IT infrastructure from On-Prem to any Cloud environment. Your role will involve creating landing zones and overseeing application migration processes. Your key responsibilities will include assessing the source architecture and aligning it with the relevant target architecture within the cloud ecosystem. You must possess a strong foundation in Linux or Windows-based systems administration, with a deep understanding of Storage, Security, and network protocols. Additionally, your proficiency in firewall rules, VPC setup, network routing, Identity and Access Management, and security implementation will be crucial. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Terraform templates, or similar automation and scripting tools. Your expertise in implementing AWS services such as EC2, Autoscaling, ELB, EBS, EFS, S3, VPC, RDS, and Route53 will be essential for successful migrations. Furthermore, your familiarity with server migration tools like Platespin, Zerto, Cloud Endure, MGN, or similar platforms will be advantageous. You will also be required to identify application dependencies using discovery tools or automation scripts and define optimal move groups for migrations with minimal downtimes. Your effective communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders. By working closely with various teams, you will contribute to the overall success of IT infrastructure migrations and ensure a smooth transition to the cloud environment.
