Project Role Description: A talented and motivated Software Engineer Lead who will guide the team of cloud engineers and other engineering associates to deliver digital products and to support the development of new business models in the evolving eMobility ecosystem. This role will play a key part in the scaling of cloud architecture along with the software products and services, and be responsible for the growth of the cloud platform engineering team to meet the needs as the products scales up. Key Responsibilities: • Hands-on technical leadership, guidance, and support for the cloud platform engineering team, including system design, code review, and ultimately be responsible for the health of the systems built by the team. Serve as an established expert in cloud platform engineering with a deep knowledge and mastery of the field to support large scale Goodyear Intelligent Mobility Solutions initiatives. • Prioritize work for the cloud platform engineering team, making tradeoffs on design based on business constraints, ensuring on time deliverables and high-quality software. • Collaborate with key stakeholders both internal and external teams on a routine basis to gain alignment. Monitor progress in the field and understand new technologies to enable our teams roadmap. Technical Experience: • 7+ years of experience designing/delivering software/cloud applications - Working on an Agile software development team(s) • Experience translating complex feature requirements and design specifications into technical use cases - Managing ambiguity AWS/Azure/Google reliable cloud platforms at scale, preferably serverless compute-related experiences • Experience with automating and orchestrating the provisioning of application and infrastructure services • Experience handling and building security concepts related to cloud • Experience working with data science and data engineering teams • Cloud platform technology at scale (e.g. Lambda, Fargate, Cloud Formation, AWS CLI) Automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible, SaltStack) Data science tools (e.g. Python, R, Java/Scala, Docker, Kubernetes) Cloud security (e.g. firewall, proxy, key management, IAM, certificate management) Demonstrated leadership skills, good communication, technical writing skills and ability to work in a team environment • Experience designing/implementing continuous integration (CI)/continuous development (CD) processes Professional Attributes: • Good problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Self-motivated, accepts difficult challenges and think out of the box. • Adaptability & versatility are key.
