Cloud Application Architect

We are seeking a Cloud Application Architect to lead application migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to AWS and AWS-to-AWS environments. The role involves designing scalable and secure architectures, defining migration strategies, and guiding teams through successful cloud transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor) for enterprise applications.
• Design target-state architectures aligned with AWS best practices and enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to enable automated, secure, and compliant cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership during discovery, design, build, and cutover phases.
• Ensure performance, security, and cost optimization across migrated workloads.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in application migration and modernization on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services – EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, API Gateway, CloudFormation/Terraform, IAM.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with migration tools such as AWS Migration Hub, CloudEndure, and DMS.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Experience with Java or .NET workloads and hybrid cloud environments.
• Exposure to multi-account AWS landing zone and cross-region migration setups.
