About the Role We're hiring a detail-focused and process-oriented Document Submissions Associate to join our core operations team. In this role, you'll help ensure a seamless onboarding experience by reviewing and validating documents submitted by healthcare professionals who want to join our platform. As a key member of the Document Associate team, you'll review a variety of credentials and compliance documents. Your work directly influences the quality, speed, and safety of our onboarding process—helping professionals get to work quickly and allowing facilities to hire without delay. Key Responsibilities Review and validate essential onboarding documents submitted by professionals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with facility, local, state, and federal guidelines. Monitor and manage queues for document submissions, backlogs, and expirations during assigned shifts—acting on real-time prioritization. Own and execute daily tasks including document status updates, document mapping, resolving unread submissions, and handling special projects. Contribute to ongoing improvements by reviewing internal policies and recommending updates that enhance clarity and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve document-related inquiries and enhance internal workflows. Communicate clearly via Slack and other internal tools. Stay informed on evolving documentation standards and product updates to ensure consistent, accurate decision-making. Consistently meet targets for document review time, accuracy, and throughput, contributing to both individual and team performance goals. What We're Looking For Prior experience in roles such as document verification, credentialing, compliance operations, administrative support, or customer service. Familiarity with U.S. healthcare documentation (e.g., licenses, certifications, immunization records). A sharp eye for detail—you catch inconsistencies others might overlook. Confidence in making timely decisions, even in gray areas. Strong written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics. Highly organized and dependable, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency. Demonstrated success in fast-paced, fully remote work environments. Comfortable using tools like Slack, Zendesk, Google Sheets, and task management platforms. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with other teams. About the Role We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and process-driven Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our core operational team at Clipboard Health. This role is critical in managing document escalations, preventing fraud, and guiding internal teams on credentialing standards for healthcare professionals using our platform. You will be part of a ~40-member internal SME group responsible for handling edge-case documentation issues, internal consults, and trust-related escalations that ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of our marketplace. Key Responsibilities Manage Escalated Document Cases: Review and resolve complex or unclear documentation submitted by healthcare professionals (HCPs) that have been flagged for issues, fraud indicators, or quality concerns. Prevent Risk & Fraud: Identify suspicious documentation patterns and prevent potentially unsafe actors from entering the platform. Cross-Team Consultations: Serve as an internal consultant to Sales, Account Management, Product, Legal, and other teams regarding document standards, onboarding requirements, and policy interpretations. Process Ownership & Documentation: Own and execute daily operational tasks such as document status changes, mapping, unread document resolution, and special projects. Continuous Improvement: Regularly contribute to refining internal policies, updating requirements (e.g., new attestation forms), and closing process gaps. Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally to resolve inquiries and improve internal workflows. Respond to questions with clarity and speed via Slack and other internal tools. What We're Looking For Some experience in trust & safety, document verification, compliance operations, healthcare credentialing, customer support, or similar. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail — you're someone who notices what others miss. Ability to make sound decisions quickly in ambiguous or gray-area situations.
