As an OT Technician for IVF, you will be responsible for providing indirect patient care in emergency care situations and preparing the Operation Theatre before all operative procedures. You will need to ensure that all necessary supplies are available, and surgical instruments are sterile before the procedure. Supporting as a Surgical/Anaesthesia assistant during Operative Procedures will also be part of your role. Your duties will include ensuring appropriate surgical position, scrubbing, painting, and draping as required, as well as shifting patients in the recovery ward. Working efficiently with an autoclave and collecting, carefully labeling, and transporting tissue/blood samples to the lab for testing will be essential tasks. In terms of documentation and reporting, you will need to ensure that accurate and relevant patient medical history is available before each procedure. Additionally, you will be expected to counsel patients and their families, explaining planned procedures to them, and addressing patient and staff issues using multidisciplinary team strategies. Quality management and continuous improvement will be integral to your role. You will need to ensure that all procedures adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) and comply with policies on Universal Protection, Biomedical Hazard, and Infection Control. Maintaining a clean and safe environment, respecting patients" privacy and confidentiality, and adhering to hospital standards are key aspects of the position. This is a full-time position located in Ernakulam, Kerala. The ideal candidate will have an OT Tech Diploma/Graduation with 1 to 5 years of experience in IVF. Experience in laparoscopy and IVF OT is required. A willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is preferred for this role.
