Clinical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care in our outpatient and emergency medicine settings. This position requires a strong understanding of clinical procedures, excellent patient service skills, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care in both outpatient and emergency settings.
• Perform basic life support and emergency procedures as needed.
• Administer medications according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for services rendered.
• Conduct preliminary assessments and gather relevant medical history from patients.
• Support the operation of a Level I Trauma Center by ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently.
• Provide education to patients regarding their treatment plans and medication administration.
• Collaborate with internal medicine teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the clinical environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
• Experience in outpatient or emergency medicine is preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Familiarity with coding practices for medical services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
