The role involves visiting fields and farms for biomass assessment studies, developing and delivering energy transition projects for clients to move from fossil fuels to biomass/renewable fuels, and ensuring adherence to climate policies. The individual will ensure project execution, build client relationships, contributing to the growth of the business through strategic partnerships, market analysis, and solution-based selling. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Development & Growth Strategy: a) Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in climate consulting. b) Analyze market trends, identify emerging climate issues, and develop strategies to expand the firms climate consulting portfolio. c) Help the development of competitive proposals, presentations, and responses to Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for new client engagements. d) Collaborate with other departments to identify cross-selling opportunities and enhance service offerings. e) Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers to establish the firm as a trusted climate consulting partner. f) Set and achieve business development goals, including increasing revenue through new clients and expanding into new markets. g) Establish partnerships with complementary service providers, government agencies, NGOs, and industry groups. 2. Strategic Consulting & Client Engagement: a) Develop and deliver tailored BAS projects b) Visiting fields/ farms for Biomass Assessment Studies. c) Develop and deliver energy transition projects for clients to move away from fossil fuel to biomass/ renewable fuels. d) Ensure client satisfaction and deliver solutions aligned with national and international climate policies. 3. Project Management: a) Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and fulfilment of client objectives. b) Manage teams, assign responsibilities, and provide technical guidance to ensure successful project outcomes. c) Report project status weekly to internal and external stakeholders, maintaining transparency and alignment with project timelines. 4. Technical Expertise: a) Provide expertise on carbon accounting, GHG emission reductions, and climate adaptation strategies. b) Stay updated on climate science, regulations, and technological advances, and ensure clients are leveraging best practices. c) Conduct research on policy, regulatory, and market-based mechanisms to enhance the adoption of renewable energy. 5. Stakeholder Collaboration: a) Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive climate action, including government bodies, industry groups, and NGOs. b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, legal, operations) to embed sustainability across business operations. 6. Reporting & Compliance: a) Oversee the preparation of consulting reports such as carbon footprint analysis and climate risk disclosures for clients. b) Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards and regulations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): 1.Business Development: a) Number of new clients acquired and retention of existing clients. b) Year-on-year increase in climate consulting revenue. c) Success rate of proposals submitted versus contracts won. d) Establishment and utilization of strategic partnerships for business growth. 2.Project Delivery: a) Timely and on-budget delivery of climate consulting projects. b) Client satisfaction scores and feedback.
