The Manager-EAM will be responsible for overseeing and managing Engineering and Maintenance (EAM) activities at Syngene's Hyderabad operations. The role involves ensuring adherence to safe practices, developing procedures for safe operations, and driving a corporate culture that promotes environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset in the workplace. The Manager-EAM will lead the engineering and maintenance team for Facility, Utility areas, and Projects related to Discovery Chemistry, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Additionally, the Manager-EAM will be responsible for managing and motivating the engineering team, developing and implementing asset integrity and reliability standards, coordinating with HR for manpower selection and appraisal, and overseeing asset management through Enterprise Asset Management and SAP plant maintenance module. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering with 12-17 years of industry experience, including 10 years of relevant manufacturing facility construction and management experience. Technical skills required for the position include data analysis using MS Excel, knowledge in clean utilities and design of MEP, cleanroom and biosafety levels, and presentations using MS PowerPoint. Knowledge of the Pharma/Biotech industry environment, engineering maintenance, project management, and bioprocess operations will be a plus. The candidate should also possess knowledge and exposure to environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices.
