As a skilled Naval Architect, you will be an integral part of our team in Kochi, contributing to various aspects of vessel design projects. Your responsibilities will include performing hydrostatic calculations, Load-Out/Load-in Ballast plans, stability analyses, and supporting vessel concept design projects. Your expertise will be essential in preparing and validating heavy lift vessel models and deck carrier configurations while ensuring adherence to class rules and IMO regulations. You will be responsible for performing stability and Load-Out & Load-in ballast calculations using GHS software, preparing GHS models for heavy lift vessels and deck carriers, evaluating results, and preparing calculation reports. Additionally, you will conduct quality assurance of the GHS model, calculations, and project documentation, support concept design development projects, and provide training/guidance to colleagues in their tasks while reviewing reports and developing Hydrostatics skills. To qualify for this position, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture, along with at least 5 years of working experience in ship design and hydrostatic calculations. Expertise in any Stability Software, excellent fundamentals in Hydrostatics & Naval architecture, and familiarity with AutoCAD 2D, class rules, and IMO regulations are also required. Preferred skills include working knowledge in GHS/Auto hydro/Rhino-3D, experience in conducting inclining tests and report preparation, experience in ship concept design development, and programming knowledge in Python, Excel VBA, or similar.
