We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to guide a team of talented backend and frontend engineers. You’ll shape our architecture, drive execution, and build a high-performing engineering team while staying close to the technology and helping the team ship elegant, scalable solutions. You’ll work in lockstep with Core Engineering to stay aligned on architecture, infrastructure, and shared services, ensuring teams build on a strong, consistent foundation. This is a full-time, in-office leadership role based in our Chennai engineering center. We’re building a high-performing, AI-native team that thrives on close collaboration, rapid iteration, and shared energy that comes from working side by side. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering in the USA. About Clarity RCM Clarity RCM is the nation’s leading revenue cycle and practice operations platform in dermatology. We combine deep domain expertise with modern technology to help private practices thrive by simplifying operations, improving collections and empowering the independent practice of medicine. We are growing fast and have been ranked among the nation’s fastest-growing private companies by Inc. Magazine for three consecutive years. We operate at the intersection of healthcare, fintech, and AI, building a next-generation operating system for private medical practices that includes claims automation, patient payments, analytics, and compliance. With over $1B in revenue under management and teams across the US, LatAM and India, we are scaling quickly and investing heavily in our engineering organization to power the next decade of growth. What you'll do Lead, grow, and mentor a team of engineers, helping them reach their full potential. Set technical direction for distributed systems, APIs, and modern web applications. Push for bias for action—help the team avoid analysis paralysis and ship value quickly. Encourage healthy debate, push back when solutions are overly complex, and align on the simplest path forward. Champion a “disagree and commit” culture. Once decisions are made, the team moves forward together. Partner with product and design to translate business needs into clear engineering goals. Raise the bar on engineering practices: code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence. Step in hands-on when needed to unblock the team or tackle tricky technical challenges. What we're looking for Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or equivalent role building and scaling engineering teams. Excellent communicator who partners closely across time zones to keep teams aligned, connected, and executing as one unit. Strong technical foundation in distributed systems (C#/.NET, Python, orchestration, cloud-native) or modern frontend (React, Next.js, TypeScript). Track record of mentoring engineers and growing senior contributors. Clear, direct communicator who can challenge assumptions while building trust. Comfortable making trade-offs and simplifying solutions to ship faster. Deep understanding of collaborative, product-driven development in a fast-moving environment. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
