Civil & Structural Design Engineer - Renewables

As a Design Engineer - Solar (Civil/Structural) at EDRC - (Solar), your role involves complete design and detailed engineering of Civil Structural Engineering for PV Solar Power plants. You will be responsible for managing the engineering activities within budget, delivering on time, and maintaining a high quality of engineering. Your key responsibilities will include: - Timely review of the drawings developed by the draftsman - Detail design of Civil and Structural components of Solar Plants such as Module mounting Steel Structures, Buildings, Road, Drain, Fence/Compound Wall, Grading, and leveling cable Trenches - Preparation and review of Pre-bid queries, DBR, BOQ & Scope of work for Proposal Engineering & Project Engineering - Proposing optimization ideas during the Pre-bid stage and project stage to reduce the Project Cost - Ensuring compliance with specification requirements - Reviewing drawings and documentation conforming to Quality systems and Checklist - Reviewing Vendor Offers and Documents - Pre-Tender Engineering including estimation of BOM (Bill of Materials) and Offer Reviews Technical Expertise required for this role includes executing engineering activities for civil & structural covering control room buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, inverter rooms, grading, roads and drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous works related to the Solar Power Plant. You should also be able to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to Civil & Structural design. In this role, you will work internally with PEM, Design Lead, Inter-disciplinary Engineers (Electrical, MEP & Instrumentation), and Draughts Person. Externally, you will interact with the Client (Site Execution, Engineering team) and Vendors (Engineering Team). Minimum Qualification required for this position is a B.Tech in Civil / M.Tech in Structural Engineering with 4-8 years of experience, specifically in design aspects of Solar PV Power Plants, Thermal Power Plants, and Power Distribution Projects.,
