Job Description

As a Quality Control Engineer, your role will involve ensuring that construction projects meet high-quality standards and strict safety regulations. You will be responsible for inspecting materials and workmanship, monitoring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety codes, maintaining quality documentation, and investigating incidents to maintain a safe and high-quality work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect incoming materials, construction workmanship, and finished work to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, standards, and safety codes. - Monitor ongoing construction activities on-site to verify alignment with approved blueprints, schedules, and quality plans. - Review construction drawings, material submittals, work methods, and ensure that quality requirements and safety protocols are incorporated. - Maintain, revise, and implement the project Quality Control Plan (QCP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, work instructions, and other documentation as required. - Document all inspections, test results, non-conformances (NCRs), corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and maintain quality records in a structured, auditable manner. - Investigate and record incidents, workmanship deviations, material failures, or safety deviations; perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective & preventive measures. - Liaise with site teams, engineering, procurement, and safety departments to coordinate quality and safety compliance. - Conduct periodic audits of workmanship, processes, materials, and safety practices on the site; ensure timely closure of any findings. - Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality and safety protocols, inspection routines, documentation requirements, and best practices. - Work closely with the Safety team to ensure construction activities meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations. - Support handover and commissioning phases by ensuring quality and safety deliverables are met before project close-out or client acceptance. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred. - 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction quality control/QC engineering, ideally on large-scale building/infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, workmanship standards, inspection/testing methods. - Thorough understanding of relevant Indian codes and standards, construction specifications, safety regulations, and quality management principles. - Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and translate them into quality/inspection requirements.
