Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced City Engineer to oversee and manage infrastructure development, renovation, and maintenance projects across our network of schools within the city. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering, strong project management skills, and a clear understanding of compliance and safety standards specific to educational institutions. Key Responsibilities: Plan, design, and manage construction and renovation projects across school campuses. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of projects. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Conduct site inspections and audits to monitor progress and maintain quality control. Collaborate with school heads and facility managers to understand infrastructure needs and provide solutions. Prepare project reports, budgets, and schedules; track costs and resolve any project-related issues. Oversee maintenance and upgrades of utilities, playgrounds, classrooms, and campus amenities. Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all construction and civil works. Implement sustainable and energy-efficient practices in all projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred). Proven experience (5+ years) in managing infrastructure projects, preferably in the education or institutional sector. Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management tools, and building codes. Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar tools. Ability to manage multiple projects across locations simultaneously. Preferred Attributes: Experience working in the school or educational infrastructure sector. Familiarity with green building practices and school safety standards. PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
