Solutions Architect : Pre-Sales (Application Modernization & Digital Platforms) Role Summary We are looking for a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales solutioning and technical design for application modernization initiatives. This role focuses heavily on application architecture including legacy system transformation, re-platforming, and modular enterprise app design — with working knowledge of cloud-native tools and DevOps principles. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java, Python, Node.js, and .NET, and well-versed in enterprise architecture best practices and design patterns that scale across organizations. Key Responsibilities Architect application modernization solutions during pre-sales engagements, aligning with client business needs and IT strategy. Analyze legacy application portfolios and propose modernization strategies such as rehosting, refactoring, rearchitecting, or rebuilding. Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable solutions using modern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, layered architecture). Leverage enterprise design patterns such as: Strangler Fig (incremental modernization) Domain-Driven Design (DDD) CQRS and Event Sourcing API Gateway and BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) Repository, Unit of Work, and Adapter patterns Produce solution architecture documents, estimates, and presentation material for RFPs/RFIs, proposals, and customer pitches. Guide PoC implementations, demo environments, and value accelerators. Ensure solution designs incorporate non-functional requirements: scalability, security, observability, availability, and performance. Technology Stack Languages/Frameworks: Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA) Python (FastAPI, Django, Celery) Node.js (Express, NestJS) .NET Core (.NET 6/7, ASP.NET Web API) Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, Redis Integration: REST, gRPC, Kafka, RabbitMQ Architecture: Microservices, SOA, Modular Monoliths, Reactive Systems Cloud & DevOps (Secondary Focus) Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services (compute, storage, messaging, API management). Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Best Practices & Architecture Governance Apply industry best practices such as: Twelve-Factor App principles SOLID design principles Secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10) Design-for-failure and graceful degradation Champion documentation standards, reusable reference architectures, and lightweight architecture decision records (ADRs). Participate in architecture review boards and provide guidance to ensure consistency across engagements. Pre-Sales Experience Proven experience creating solution blueprints, technical writeups, and estimates as part of bid responses and proposals. Conduct client workshops, technical discovery, and early-stage assessments. Support business development by identifying architectural differentiators and scalable patterns. Qualifications 10–16 years of experience in software architecture, including recent hands-on involvement in solutioning. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Certifications preferred: TOGAF, CITA. Exposure to verticals like BFSI, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Telecom is a plus.
