Key Responsibilities 1. Production Execution and Scheduling ● Aligned Scheduling: Assist in developing and managing production schedules, ensuring timely completion of key milestones and meeting deadlines. ● Bottleneck Identification: Identify potential bottlenecks in the production process and recommend solutions to overcome them, contributing to a 95% on-time completion rate for key milestones. ● Constructability & Design Collaboration: Review design drawings and provide feedback to the Design and Project Engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with fabrication capabilities. 2. Quality Assurance and Compliance ● Quality-Driven Fabrication: Ensure that production activities meet GAS LAB Asia's quality standards, achieving a 98% first-pass yield rate on fabricated components and assemblies. ● In-Process Inspections: Conduct in-process inspections to ensure the quality of materials and components being fabricated. Identify potential issues and proactively resolve them before they impact project timelines. ● HSE Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, ensuring zero major HSE incidents in the production area. 3. Cost Management and Financial Accountability ● Budget Adherence: Assist in monitoring production costs and ensuring that they stay within the budgeted amount. Implement cost-saving measures where applicable, contributing to a 3% reduction in production costs without compromising quality. ● Transparency & Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on production costs and progress. Support the Senior Manager in providing monthly cost variance reports to Project Management. 4. Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization ● Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization, including welding efficiency, material handling, and workflow optimization. ● Lean Manufacturing: Support the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve equipment utilization, and streamline production processes. ● Training: Participate in training programs related to process optimization, quality control, HSE compliance, and Lean manufacturing practices. 5. Team Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication ● Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Project Engineering, Procurement, and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth integration of production activities with other project phases. ● Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open communication with internal stakeholders to provide updates on production progress, potential issues, and solutions. 6. Inventory and Store Management ● Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensuring that required materials are available and that stock-outs are avoided. Collaborate with Procurement and Stores teams to ensure materials are procured and stored efficiently. ● Material Handling: Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to avoid damage or loss. Maintain up-to-date records of inventory and material usage. Qualifications ● Education: ○ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering ○ NDT Level II Certification is preferred. ● Experience: ○ Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in production management or a related field, ideally within the EPC, Oil & Gas, or manufacturing industries. ● Skills: ○ Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques. ○ Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and HSE standards. ○ Proficient in production planning and scheduling software. ○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. ○ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
