This is an excellent opportunity to bring your talents to the team that develops solutions in Cisco's routing and cloud technologies for the largest web scalers and service providers globally. The dynamic team actively engages with all teams across Cisco to leverage solutions and supports communication networks. As an engineer in this team, you will provide critical engineering support for very large-scale customer deployments and work with a technical community, interacting with respected guides in networking. You will not only support some of the world's largest Web scaler and Service Provider networks but also collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams on proactive customer engagements covering current technologies. Your role will involve engaging with engineering architects and technical domain guides in product development to ensure product quality, debuggability, and meeting customer technical requirements. As a technical expert in the team, you will drive your team towards technical expertise, care about customer success, and inspire others to do the same. Your responsibilities will include owning and resolving critical customer issues in Cisco's Routing portfolio, providing guide support for technical and operational issues, applying analytical skills to understand and resolve complex product and network problems, and offering technical support to customer-facing teams and customers. You will also engage with Cisco's customer-facing teams, travel to customer sites when necessary, recreate and solve complex problems in systems using lab setups, identify systematic problems, and collaborate with respective teams to drive long-term solutions for better customer experience and product stability. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in STEM with demonstrated experience in network engineering - Proficiency in working with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN, BFD, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS TE/FRR, L2/L3VPN, RSVP, Multicast, etc. - Experience with real-time operating systems, including IOS-XR and Linux - Knowledge of large-scale routing and switching architectures - Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and resolving networking issues in live customer environments Preferred Qualifications: - CCIE routing or CCIE Service Provider certification - Familiarity with internal Cisco organization and ecosystem - Master's degree in STEM or equivalent experience - Expertise with IOS XR based platform architectures - Practical knowledge and experience with AI concepts and applications Join Cisco, where individuals bring their unique skills and perspectives together to power an inclusive future for all.
