As an Interior Designer at our company, you will be responsible for conceptualizing innovative interior design ideas for our clients. You will conduct market research and design referencing to prepare reports that inform design concepts. Your role will involve developing zoning, circulation plans, and furniture layouts based on store offerings and design strategy. You will utilize tools like SketchUp to create concept sketches, layouts, and 3D models. Additionally, you may assist or lead in preparing and delivering design presentations to clients. Collaboration with a team of designers on design concept development projects will be a key aspect of your role. Your responsibilities will also include developing design intent decks, material boards, color schemes, signage, lighting plans, and schematic drawings of fixtures and furniture. You will participate in client briefings and team meetings, reviewing prototypes of recommended design elements. Regular visits to project sites will be necessary to ensure design adherence. Coordination with clients for information and clarifications, validating detailed drawings for design accuracy, and developing design manuals upon project completion are vital tasks. You will also be involved in coordinating photoshoots for project documentation. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of spatial design and aesthetics in Commercial/Retail Interior Design. Proficiency in zoning, circulation, and planning of interior spaces, along with the ability to conceptualize interior spaces effectively, is essential. Knowledge of materials and finishes, working drawings, and detailing is required. Basic understanding of MEP services and expertise in design documentation are also important. Proficiency in CAD, SketchUp, and basic Microsoft Office applications is necessary. An artistic practice such as sketching or painting would be considered an added advantage.
