Designation: Production Head (Textile Industry) Location: Pipodara (near Mangrol) Roles/Responsibilities: Plan and oversee the entire fabric production process for both Circular Knitting and Warp Knitting units. Create daily and weekly production schedules based on order priorities, machine capacity, and resource availability. Allocate manpower effectively across shifts and machines to ensure optimum productivity. Ensure timely execution of production targets while maintaining quality and minimizing machine downtime. Monitor machine-wise production output and coordinate with supervisors and data entry operators for accurate reporting. Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions to improve workflow and efficiency. Coordinate with store, design, and maintenance departments for yarn availability, job card clarity, and machine readiness. Track rejections, wastages, and machine stoppages, and analyze root causes for continual improvement. Ensure adherence to safety, cleanliness, and operational standards in the production area. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management. Support new machine installations, trials, and process improvements. Skills & Qualifications: Education: Degree in Textile Engineering / Production Engineering. Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in fabric production with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in both Circular and Warp Knitting operations is mandatory. Strong knowledge of knitting machines (Circular & Warp), fabric types, GSM, gauge, and yarn specifications. Understanding of textile production terms such as GSM, gauge, job cards, and machine logs. Ability to read and interpret job cards, production parameters, and yarn specifications. Soft Skills: Strong leadership skills to manage teams across shifts and departments. Skilled in production tracking and performance evaluation. Decision-making ability under pressure. Target-driven, proactive, and disciplined.
