Cinematic Filmmaker + Editor

Role Overview: You will be collaborating with founders, engineers, and creatives to translate Catalyxs engineering and missions into powerful visual stories. Your main responsibility will be to create cinematic launch films and documentaries showcasing product launches, tests, and the companys journey. Key Responsibilities: - Own the entire filmmaking process end-to-end, including concept, pre-production, shooting, directing, editing, colour grading, and final delivery. - Produce diverse creative content such as founder-led stories, documentaries, explainers, team culture pieces, and behind-the-scenes films. - Plan and execute high-impact shoots, design micro-storyboards, handle filming, manage lighting, stabilisation, and cinematography for cinematic output. - Design and mix sound creatively, including foley, risers, ambient layers, music sync/licensing, and overall sound balance. - Craft motion graphics and typography, applying motion tracking, kinetic type, and UI overlays with a strong sense of layout, rhythm, and visual identity. - Adapt and repurpose assets across formats for multiple platforms while maintaining consistent visual quality and brand tone. - Maintain content cadence by delivering one major cinematic film every 12 weeks plus several short-form founder-led or social reels per week. - Work fluently across creative tools like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects using efficient, version-controlled workflows. Qualification Required: - Proven experience in filmmaking, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create compelling visual stories. - Proficiency in creative tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects. - Strong understanding of sound design, motion graphics, typography, and visual storytelling techniques.
