As a Manufacturing Solutions Architect in the Industry 4.0 domain at Ascentt, you will play a crucial role in leading clients through their digital transformation journey. Your primary focus will be on bridging Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) by designing and implementing cutting-edge Industry 4.0 solutions for automotive and discrete manufacturing environments. By closely collaborating with clients, you will identify opportunities for improvement and deliver scalable, future-ready solutions that leverage technologies such as Unified Namespace (UNS), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), cloud technologies, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). Your responsibilities will include leading the design and implementation of MES, IIoT, and digital transformation architectures to ensure scalability and alignment with industry standards. You will partner with clients to understand their manufacturing operations, design Industry 4.0 solutions that deliver measurable value, and oversee the integration of automation, IT, and enterprise systems for seamless data flow. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support core and extended manufacturing functions will also be a key aspect of your role, including designing data architecture solutions and managing vendor relationships and technology selection processes. To excel in this role, you should have at least 10 years of experience in manufacturing automation, MES, and digital transformation. A strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, hands-on experience with IIoT/MES platforms, and familiarity with automation technologies are essential qualifications. Proficiency in programming/scripting, understanding of OT/IT integration, experience with cloud platforms, and knowledge of data modeling and architecture design for manufacturing environments are all valuable skills for this position. Additionally, soft skills such as problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, stakeholder management skills, and the capacity to translate technical solutions into business value will be beneficial in leading workshops and roadmaps with client executives and technical teams.
