CICS & MQ System Programmer z/OS

As a CICS & MQ System Programmer with over 10 years of experience, your role will involve installation, maintenance, and administration of CICS and MQ software on zSeries platforms. You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Install, maintain, and administer MQ and CICS software on z/OS. - Manage maintenance releases, red alerts, and emergency patches. - Implement and support MQ shared queues, clusters, and CICS advanced features (CPSM, LOGR, Web Services, SSL). - Collaborate with application teams on design and performance tuning. - Conduct proof of concepts, vendor coordination, and maintain best practice documentation. - Support DR, automation, change management, and performance optimization. Your technical skills should include proficiency in CICS TS v5.x, MQ v7/v8, SMPE, Mainview/Omegamon, REXX/Scripting, USS, RACF/ACF2, IIB, Pub-Sub, CPSM, CAFC, Java, and XML. In addition to technical expertise, soft skills such as excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills will be essential for success in this role.
