We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology team in Chennai What we do: Bright-River provides Visual Content services to the larger e-commerce and retail companies around the world. Our 2D and CGI visual experts deliver product visual content daily using our in-house developed platform and applications. Our Business Technology team is a dedicated team of engineers and developers working on our application stack and platform. We are spread across our offices in Chennai, Netherlands, New York and Bangladesh. What are we looking out for from you Want to work in a product based technology team. Understanding the business and gathering requirements. Proactively looking for places for improvements. Make use of the resources available to you and figure out ways to fulfil the business needs. Share what you learn by doing POC and Knowledge Transfer sessions. When you see an opportunity to do things better as a team, don't shy away from proposing and setting new standards across the team. Technical and Professional Expertise: 1 to 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software test engineer. Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements. Strong Knowledge in Software QA Methodologies, Tools & Processes, ability to build a new QA environment. Experience in writing Clear, Concise & Comprehensive test plans, test cases, performance or security testing. Proven work experience in manual testing. Experience testing RESTful APIs or web services using tools like Postman or Rest Assured. Solid knowledge of MSSQL DB testing, SPA Web applications, API and backend technologies. Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum development processes Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Cloud will be added bonus Knowledge in implementing CI/CD technology using Gitlab, Azure DevOps ,Octopus, Jenkins. Fluent in English What you own or contribute towards: Using outstanding QA and testing skills, you contribute to the deployment and operations of our in-house applications. The applications are used daily by our Bright River colleagues and our customers. Prepare detailed comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback Plan and coordinate testing activities thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. developers, operations and product owner) to identify system requirements Track quality assurance metrics like defect densities and open defect counts Analyze the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions Maintain relevant knowledge about new testing tools and test strategies Our teams work with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. DevOps mindset: Applying your DevOps skills to find the right balance between delivery speed and quality.
