In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing scalable and resilient enterprise-grade solutions that drive the capabilities of FHB's platform. By leveraging modern technology stacks and cloud-native architectures, you will create and continuously improve systems in line with enterprise software development practices. Your role as a Principal Software Engineer in Product Development is pivotal in shaping the technical vision and implementation of the FHB platform. Operating in a culture that prioritizes agility and continuous delivery, you will be instrumental in constructing scalable, resilient, and secure applications that cater to the needs of a growing client base. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of the development lifecycle, from crafting microservices and integrating APIs to deploying on contemporary cloud infrastructure, all while working closely with diverse teams to deliver impactful features and enhancements. Key Skills Required for This Role: - Technical Leadership: Define technical direction and lead development efforts. - Advanced Java & Microservices: Design and develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot. - Database Design: Possess advanced SQL, PostgreSQL, DB design, and analysis skills with a focus on performance and scalability. - Platform Design: Create scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for product features following enterprise guidelines. - Cloud-Native Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud deployment models and infrastructure. - CI/CD Strategy: Take ownership of CI/CD processes and ensure release reliability. - Security & Compliance: Lead secure development practices aligned with enterprise standards. - UI/UX & Frontend: Have exposure to modern UI frameworks like Angular and TypeScript. - Messaging & Eventing: Proficiency in event-driven systems. - Dev Assist Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like GitHub CoPilot, Gemini, and the ability to evaluate use cases across the development process. - Quality Ownership: Define testing standards and drive quality initiatives. - Environment Management: Experienced in managing and optimizing mature product environments. Desired Skills for This Role: - Proficiency in Java, REST API, Spring Framework, SQL. - Experience with enterprise-grade distributed applications and support.
