Job Responsibilities As a Computer Scientist 1, you will be responsible for: Crafting and implementing robust, scalable software solutions Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and successfully implement new features Mentoring junior engineers and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement Ensuring flawless integration of various backend services Participating in code reviews and maintaining high coding standards Applying proven development practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery to uphold a high level of software quality Working within Scrum or similar agile frameworks to deliver projects on time Required Skills/Experience 5-7 years of software engineering experience, primarily in front-end development Strong skills in solving complex problems using modern JavaScript (ES6+), React, or similar frameworks Proven experience building scalable and performant web applications with clean and maintainable code Solid understanding of front-end architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand), and component design Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (including pre-processors like SASS/LESS), and responsive design Exposure to backend technologies and APIs Java knowledge is a plus Familiarity with tools and frameworks like Webpack, Babel, Vite, and testing libraries (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library) Experience with cloud-based integrations, preferably AWS (Lambda, S3, CloudFront) or Firebase Understanding of web performance, accessibility (a11y), and cross-browser compatibility Prior experience mentoring junior front-end developers Worked in Agile/Scrum development environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines for front-end projects Knowledge of CDN and performance optimization techniques (e.g., Akamai, Cloudflare) is a plus Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Adobe is proud to be anemployer.
