Chief Technology Officer, Co-founder

Role Overview: Umbrella Technologies, a forward-thinking parent company, is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to shape the technological backbone of their ventures. As a founding pillar, you will lead every aspect of technology including coding, system design, and security. This role requires setting the tempo for tech strategy across products and platforms, making independent decisions, and leading with a proactive approach rather than waiting for instructions. Key Responsibilities: - Architect, develop, and ship the first product under the Umbrella brand - Define the tech stack from scratch without any legacy baggage - Recruit, lead, and mentor the tech team (if available) - Drive platform stability, scalability, and security throughout the ecosystem - Make technology decisions aligned with the strategic vision - Collaborate with the founding team on fundraising, growth, and roadmap execution Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience in building and scaling tech products, preferably 0-1 years - Expertise in full-stack development - Experience in leading tech teams or working in early-stage environments - High technical IQ with strong product instincts - Ability to make independent decisions and challenge assumptions - Belief in building for long-term success, even without immediate external validation Additional Details: The successful candidate will receive 20-30% equity stake in the first product/company, play a key role in defining future digital platforms, have autonomy in product decisions and tech hiring, and work with a visionary co-founder. Additionally, there will be a transition into a salaried leadership position post-funding.
