Chief SRE - Banking GCC II

As a Chief SRE at our company, you will play a crucial role in the strategic development of the SRE practice by working closely with senior leaders. Your responsibilities will include: - Creating, developing, installing, and implementing tools to support the operational management of software applications and systems, including security aspects. - Testing, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors in applications programming language to ensure they meet quality standards. - Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and processes, and using software engineering to make scalable improvements. - Partnering with product and engineering stakeholders to educate teams on SRE philosophy and practices. - Being an ambassador for modern engineering and reliability practices, fostering strong team cultures. You will also be involved in designing, building, and delivering infrastructure, code, or services to enhance the availability and efficiency of both internal and customer-facing services. Additionally, you will lead other SREs, sharing best practices and learnings across the stack. Your skills and experience should include: - Chief-level software engineering experience with over 20 years in the industry. - Designing, developing, testing, and supporting applications and systems. - Hands-on experience with programming languages like Go, Python, .Net, or Java, and previous SRE or DevOps experience. - Proficiency in at least one programming language, along with modern software development practices. - Strong knowledge of source control tools like git, and CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy. - Experience in public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and leading teams using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.
