Role Overview: You will be a part of Visa's Technology Organization which is a collaborative community focused on reshaping the future of commerce. Your role will involve driving the architecture for key cross-team projects, establishing software development patterns, providing leadership across the engineering community, and contributing to key GenAI initiatives for developer productivity and product innovation. You will play a crucial role in developing secure, robust, and scalable architectures while influencing technology selection for the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the architecture for key cross-team / cross-product development projects through architecture/design documents and code module development. - Establish software development patterns and best practices, ensuring all project teams follow common principles and utilize standard technology frameworks. - Provide leadership to ensure solutions align with platform principles and standards, while mentoring and building high-performing engineering teams. - Apply architecture best practices to increase execution velocity and contribute to key GenAI initiatives. - Develop secure, robust, scalable, modular, API-centric, and global architectures, influencing technology selection and defining deployment topology. - Optimize the use of Visa's Platforms & Solutions, demonstrate thought leadership through presentations, and contribute to key Visa initiatives. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree, or at least 9 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, or 6 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: - 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelors Degree, or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree, PhD with 9+ years of experience. - Experience in Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and HTML5/CSS3. - Expertise in web service standards and related patterns (REST, gRPC) and advanced knowledge of AI / Generative AI / Data Science. - Proven knowledge of design, architecture, and development of Shared Services and frameworks including Microservices, Container Technologies, Caching, API gateway, and Security. - Deep understanding of different integration patterns" benefits and drawbacks, along with continuous delivery and DevOps experience.
