Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a South Indian Chef at Chennai Kalyana Biriyani. The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of authentic South Indian dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and quality. Daily tasks include planning menus, following recipes, sourcing ingredients, maintaining food safety, and managing kitchen operations to maintain a clean and efficient workspace. Collaborating with the team to introduce innovative dishes and managing food inventory are also key responsibilities. Qualifications Expertise in preparing traditional South Indian cuisine, including starters, main courses, and accompaniments Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and proper handling of ingredients Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ingredient procurement, and time management Creativity in developing new recipes while maintaining the authenticity of South Indian flavors Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively Formal culinary training or equivalent professional experience in South Indian cooking is a plus
