Diesel Engine Service Technician Job Location: Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District · Inspects, maintains, and repairs diesel engines and related systems in vehicles and heavy equipment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance. Key duties include using diagnostic tools to identify issues, replacing faulty parts, documenting work, ensuring safety, and communicating with customers about necessary repairs and maintenance. The role requires technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning as diesel technology advances. Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Utilizing diagnostic tools and computer software to pinpoint mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and their components. Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations to keep equipment running smoothly. Repairs: Repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and other mechanical components. Record Keeping: Documenting all maintenance and repair work in detail for future reference and to maintain client records. Customer Communication: Explaining technical issues to vehicle owners in understandable terms and discussing the work performed. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards to ensure a safe working environment. Collaboration: Working effectively with other technicians and service managers to complete projects efficiently.
