We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Applications Engineer with a minimum of a master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and administrating data-driven applications to support the development of a digital twin for a semiconductor manufacturing company. This role demands advanced data science and computer vision expertise, alongside experience in C# programming, and involves designing systems that integrate engineering data, simulation results, image processing, and machine learning models to build predictive and autonomous capabilities. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Design, develop, and deploy applications supporting the digital twin of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Present analysis and simulation results to stakeholders in a clear, structured format. Continuous research and apply best practices in digital twin development, machine learning, and computer vision. Required Qualifications: Minimum of a master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in designing and deploying machine learning models and computer vision solutions. Strong proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, OpenCV, Matplotlib). Hands-on experience with C# programming for application development and integration. Solid understanding of statistics, data structures, and algorithms. Ability to perform exploratory data analysis, data cleaning, and feature engineering. Knowledge of techniques such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, and optimisation. Experience with SQL for data handling and querying. Familiarity with version control tools such as GIT or Bitbucket. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with structured and unstructured data from complex systems. Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience with digital twin technologies, particularly in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing sectors. Experience with CFD tools (ANSYS, Fluent, COMSOL, Star-CCM+) is a plus. Knowledge of Generative AI and NLP is a strong plus. Experience working in cross-functional teams and delivering production-level software solutions. Research experience involving machine learning applications to solve real-world engineering or manufacturing problems. Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in production using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or Airflow. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for automating and scaling ML workflows.
