Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at our post-acute care setting, your role is crucial in providing quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists. You will work closely with the Occupational Therapist to ensure that therapy services are delivered effectively and in compliance with professional standards and guidelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide therapy services as outlined in the patient Plan of Care established by the Occupational Therapist (OTR). - Document all services provided accurately to facilitate timely billing of therapy services. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members. - Attend continuing education seminars/workshops to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. - Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient progress reports. - Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment. - Ensure equipment is in good working order before providing care to patients. - Coordinate treatment goals with other team members to optimize patient outcomes. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of Associate of Arts in Occupational Therapy Assistant. - Licensure and certification as required by State guidelines. - CPR Certification. - 1 year of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience is preferred. - Experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility is desirable. - Graduates from an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program will also be considered.
