The Sustainable Agri Value Chain Manager will play a crucial role as the central sustainability lead for all agricultural commodities across Africa. In this position, you will collaborate with country-level sustainability managers to ensure consistent maintenance of compliance, traceability, and sustainability documentation. A primary focus of your responsibilities will involve ensuring preparedness and adherence to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and other global standards. Additionally, you will oversee sustainability budgets, drive cost optimization initiatives, and closely partner with procurement and sales teams to ensure alignment with international regulations and sustainability commitments. Your key responsibilities will include acting as the central sustainability lead for all agri-commodities across Africa, coordinating with country-level sustainability, sales, and procurement teams to harmonize strategies, targets, and reporting frameworks, and standardizing sustainability processes, tools, and reporting across all commodities. You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, particularly focusing on EUDR compliance, maintaining updated documentation on traceability, supplier information, certifications, and country-specific compliance, and equipping procurement and sales teams with accurate and current EUDR-aligned documentation. Furthermore, you will manage sustainability budgets across countries and commodity verticals, drive efficient budget planning and tracking, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and liaise with procurement teams to ensure sustainable sourcing and supplier compliance with traceability standards and EUDR. In addition, you will collaborate with sales teams to provide accurate and EUDR-compliant documentation, support trading teams with necessary traceability data, consolidate and analyze sustainability reports from country teams, monitor initiative progress, engage with external stakeholders, and facilitate supplier engagement and capacity-building initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a master's degree in Agriculture, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, along with 7-10 years of experience in sustainability management within agri-commodities. You should have proven expertise in EUDR implementation, traceability systems, and certification schemes, experience in coordinating multi-country teams, and managing cross-functional sustainability projects. Strong budgeting and financial tracking experience, excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, willingness to travel extensively across African regions, and core competencies such as strategic thinking, attention to detail, collaborative approach, ethical grounding, and adaptability to evolving regulatory landscapes are essential for this role.,
