About the Role We are seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer who can work both on industrial sites and within our in-house R&D lab. The candidate will actively develop, modify, and prototype indigenously built automation products in collaboration with Level-2 Automation Engineers and software developers. Key Responsibilities Participate in in-house prototyping and testing of automation systems, dashboards, and sensor modules. Handle installation, calibration, and commissioning of industrial sensors (vibration, temperature, pressure, flow, proximity, etc.). Understand basic design principles — where and how sensors should be installed for reliable data. Configure and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, and CNC systems. Integrate machines with IoT/OPC servers for real-time data collection. Design and interpret SLD (Single Line Diagrams) and Automation Wiring Diagrams. Support design, testing, and continuous improvement of indigenous automation solutions. Desired Skills & Qualifications Diploma / B.E. in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechatronics. Hands-on experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Fanuc controllers. Knowledge of CNC communication protocols (FOCAS/OPC) preferred. Familiarity with panel design, wiring, and control systems integration. Preferred Attributes Strong interest in R&D, innovation, and prototyping. Team-oriented mindset with ability to work closely with engineers and developers. Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills. Willingness to travel for field commissioning when required.
